Nosotras Trabajamos En La Costura

“Nosotras Trabajamos en la Costura,” was an Oral History Task Force series from the Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños Oral History Task Force overall project, “Puerto Ricans in New York: Voices of Migration." Nosotras, recorded in 1984, focused on Puerto Rican women garment workers in New York. The result of the project, led to an award winning radio program and slideshow which also resulted in later elaborations for book projects such as Testimonial Discourse and Processes of Empowerment: Puerto Rican Women Speak written in 1991 and Pionera: Women’s Voices of the Early Puerto Rican Migration in 1994.
